What’s Poetry in Motion?
So, welcome to my site which is dedicated to hosting my first book ‘Poetry In Motion’. Maybe you’ve found out about this through word and mouth, maybe you’ve seen the book trailer (by 2v Design), or maybe you’ve just stumbled upon it like you do when you find an ikea pencil under the sofa. Whichever way, I’d like to fill you in on the reason behind the book, video and website.
Walk with me a little (metaphorically speaking, actual ‘walking’ at this point is optional),

“Poetry in Motion…what inspires you to speak these three words? Is it the way a world class Athlete strides a hundred metre sprint? Or the way a butterfly spreads its wings for the first time? There are many things in this world worth appreciating, but only one worth our worship. Only one life worth declaring ‘poetry in motion’.“
I’ll elaborate a little
Who’s the one person worth our worship?
How about the one who crafted existence with his fingertips?
Or how about the one who took our death sentence and made the whole of humanity justified in the space of one weekend?
The whole point of this book is celebrating God with words (that will never do him justice)…
What context do you use this book?
In public places and quiet places.
- Public – Use this book as performance poetry through public prayer and worship. To go from ink in a book to words pronounced on people’s lips.
- Private – Use this book as an accompaniment to your quiet times, as Daily readings, maybe even do ‘the1250Challenge’ (to find our more; click here, to do the challenge click sign-up)
Walk you through the site
- Book Trailer…This is for a little taster of the book ‘Poetry in Motion’. Watch it, share it and embed it.
- Poetry in Motion Intro…This is the introduction to the book so you can get a bit more of an understanding of what the books about, and my heart for it. (A try before you buy maybe?)
- The 1250 Challenge… With a short introductory poem and a blurb, explaining the optional challenge to read 1 poem a day for 50 days.
- Sign-up… Signing up to the 1250 Challenge, requesting to order the book buy cash or cheque if you don’t wish to buy it through paypal soon after
- Buy Book…Buying a copy of the book through pay-pal, I will then post the book out to you unless you specify different arrangements.
- The Forum…This is your chance to comment and discuss on the poems as you take on the1250 challenge. You will see all displayed from Day 1 – 50 and you can click ‘leave a comment’ if you wish to share your thoughts.
